The International Academy of Canine Trainers offers several programs for professional pet dog trainers. Our main campus is a full-time working canine training center where students will be able to learn in real life training scenarios with clients.
Our focus is on enhancing the lives of dogs by preventing behavior problems through education and training. The curriculum centers on assessing the dog's personality and training needs in order to design a training program that will increase the dog's confidence through positive re-enforcement. The 35 hour course combines lecture and practical training with supervision by the instructor, to maximize the learning potential of the student.
Part-time and intensive courses are available at the main campus. Full-time intensive courses are also available at various locations in the US.

Enhancing the lives of shelter dogs:
The International Academy of Canine Trainers also partners with animal shelters and humane societies by working with shelter dogs for intensive training courses. Students are assigned a shelter dog to work with during their intensive course. This greatly enhances the life of the shelter dog and increases their chance for adoption because of the training and socializing received.
